Because I've been given permission by the loverly =Shinerai a lot of the rules/way things are done in the EarthsLife exchange are going to be similar to *ShinXChange, but with some fundamental differences.

I'd appreciate it if some of you would suggest some FAQ, as I'd like to build one. Also, please suggest any rules you think are needed and are missing!

Exchange Overview - The goal of the EarthsLife art exchange is to encourage artwork and the development of characters that may - or may not - be canine.

How this Exchange Works - If you've never participated in an exchange before, you would benefit from reading this section.

Art exchanged are just that - exchanges. This does not work the same way as an "art trade". When we post a journal titled "TURN IN", you will be permitted to send (in a note titled "turn in") a completed version of the form (found below).

The turn-in will last for approximately a week. After the last day you can no longer send notes (we will notify you of the final day).

We will spend 2-3 days organizing things, and will send notes back to you on the first of the month. You will recieve the turn-in note from a randomly selected user, and YOUR note will have been sent to an equally random user. (The person you draw for will NEVER be the same as the person who is drawing for you.)

So, who you get for the exchange is supposed to stay a secret! Don't go telling them!

Each exchange will last for about 1 month and will end exactly one month after the starting date.

Exchanges will only be held every 2 months.

Joining/Submission Guidelines
*Please, please, PLEASE do not join the exchange if you don't think you can get a picture completed for your chosen on time! Many of us "veteran exchangers" have been through it many times and we can tell you that it isn't fun, not getting our picture when we finished our's on time!

*Humans are indeed a part of "earth's life" but please keep in mind that many of the artists that participate in this art exchange might specialize in animals, not people.

*While canines are also a part of "earth's life", one of the reasons that *EarthsLife was created was to lessen the enormous amount of canine characters taking over the internet. We will not prohibit you from submitting a canine character, but strongly encourage that you ask for that character to be "transformed" by the artist into a different animal. You won't be forced to do this.
